Here's How it Works:

Step 1:
Raw, untreated water enters RainSoft's exclusive Magitrol Valve and flows down through the resin tank.

Step 2:
The water is filtered as it passes the special Manganese Greensand. The iron is oxidized into solids and is filtered out.

Step 3:
After the water has been completely conditioned it exits the resin tank through the water riser pipe and out the control valve.

Step 4:
At metered intervals, the exclusive 9-cycle regeneration takes place. The resin is recharged with a potassium permanganate solution, giving it long life and high iron efficiency removal. Then the unit prepares itself for the next conditioning cycle.

Features and Benefits:
RUSTPROOF DOUBLE-WALLED TREATMENT TANK - Tested by the NSF International. Guaranteed for your lifetime!
MANGANESE GREENSAND - This specially treated mineral in the treatment tank oxides iron into solids, then filters out these solids. It is recharged with potassium permanganate solution, giving it long life and high iron removal efficiency.
EXCLUSIVE MAGI-TROL VALVE (Patent# 3,390,590) - Made of rugged brass for strength. Teflon coated, self-lubricating, self-cleaning, and time tested for dependable, trouble free operation.
COMPUTERIZED CONTROL - Measures the amount of water used and, only when necessary, backwashes and recharges itself automatically to flush out accumulated iron and filtered-out dirt.
HANDY GUEST BUTTON - Allows you to manually recharge unit in advance of extra water usage for continuous good water.
PRESSURIZED CHEMICAL RECHARGE TANK - holds enough potassium permanganate for many, many recharges - so it only has to be filled once or twice a year! Cannot overflow, like open solution tanks can.
