Cryptosporidium Removal

The P-12 Hydrefiner Water Filter is constructed of durable stainless steel, taking up little space and packing a powerful filter that provides clean, clear water. The unit nestles neatly under
the sink and sends your fresh water to the RainSoft faucet attached to your sink.

NSF International Listed for Cryptosporidium Removal.

How the Hydrefiner System Works:

Step 1:
Water from your cold inlet valve enters the system.

Step 2:
Water is forced through acres and acres of a compressed activated carbon filter.

Step 3:
Substances such as algae, sand, rust, sediment, plus microorganisms as small as bacteria are trapped on the filter.

Step 4:
The filtered water then flows from your special faucet, providing you with cleaner, tasty water for drinking and cooking.

Benefits:
Does not add silver ions to your water as some systems do.
Uses headed connections with o-ring seal between cartridge and housing, providing you double protection against unfiltered water accidentally passing through to your drinking water.
Independent laboratory testing provides you with the assurance that our system will do what you bought it to do.

Reverse Osmosis: RainSoft's Reverse Osmosis Units provide pure drinking and cooking water for your family. The best source for drinking water is the reverse osmosis system, it uses mother nature's own water filtering design.

How Reverse Osmosis Works:

As you may remember from your high school physics class, "osmosis" is a process in which a less concentrated fluid will diffuse through a semi-permeable membrane into a more concentrated fluid.
Osmosis is a natural process that occurs in living things. In plants osmosis permits absorption of water and nutrients through the root system. In people, nutrients are absorbed into the blood stream by osmosis.
"Reverse Osmosis", as the name implies, acts in reverse fashion. When pressure is applied on a water supply, nearly Pure H2O molecules are forced through a semi-permeable membrane to the other side, while impurities flow to the drain.

Features and Benefits:
1. Drain shut-off valve. A control valve that shuts off the drain water when water pressure in the storage tank equals 80% of the line pressure.
2. Reversible, self-cleaning drain restrictor and easy fast-flush device.
3. Shut-off valve on pressurized storage tank allows user to change filters easily. . . without draining the
storage tank.
4. Base of storage tank is removable, allowing tank to be installed on its side.
5. All filters, including R.O. cartridge, are easy to replace because of the unibody design. Filters need periodic replacement, depending upon the quality of the water supply.

The RainSoft Unibody design places all components, external tubing and water passage ways in one easy to remove top manifold system. This allows for easier installation, service and reliability.

How RainSoft ULTREFINER Reverse Osmosis

Water Treatment System Works:

Step 1:
The water enters the RainSoft ULTRAFINER R.O. System. The water will first go through a sediment filter to remove any unwanted sediment down to 5 microns in size.

Step 2:
Next, water will go through a carbon filter to remove Chlorine.

Step 3:
Next, water is forced through the RainSoft Reverse Osmosis Semi permeable
membrane while the T.D.S. (Total Dissolved Solids) are rejected by the surface of the membranes.

Step 4:
It is here that a wide range of impurities rejected by the R.O. Membrane, such as lead, mercury and selenium are simply flushed down the drain.

Step 5:
Once through the R.O. membrane, the purified water flows into the RainSoft storage tank for future use.
