Here's How it Works:

Step 1:
Raw, untreated water enters RainSoft's exclusive 9-cycle control valve and flows down through the resin tank.

Step 2:
The water is filtered and softened as it passes the special "Ion Exchange" resin. Specific unwanted foreign substances are ionically retained in and on the resin. The optional charcoal bed further polishes and clarifies the water.

Step 3:
After the water has been completely conditioned it exits the resin tank through the riser pipe and out the control valve.

Step 4:
At metered intervals, the exclusive 9-cycle regeneration takes place. Using salt as a regenerant, the retained foreign substances are flushed down the drain. Then the unit prepares itself for the next conditioning cycle.
